Guardian has a much smaller downtime than SoA, and it's quite capable of mitigating damage when used properly. Proper positioning will make sure that you aren't the one getting punished for casting guardian on an ally, and pre-patient is generally enough to help most non-squishies while it's recharging.

I personally find RoF to be a better "Oh shit" button than Patient if called for. And it allows WoH to be used more safely too.

PS isn't supposed to be your "oh shit" button (that's why it is called PATIENT spirit)

It's been a year and a half since I've played gw, but I've always found bonetti's questionable compared to the other stances, especially without something strong on demand like guardian. Bonetti's does not prevent the most common RA hammer warrior pattern: pound casters, dump on monk. Sure bonetti's is great against morons, but building vs morons is never a good idea. Bonneti's with guardian I can see, or even spirit bond JUST for emergencies.

You usually don't take bonetti's by itself. It's usually run in combination with dolyak signet/protector's defense

Ah yeah, my post was mainly a comment about sun's bar. Bonnetti's by itself is just unreliable.

Not quite on topic, but I think it is better than opening a new thread.
Is there a monk-bar that is generally considered to be easy playable (or easier than the average). I don't need a bar to go super pro, my time doesn't allow for that, just something effective to train a little, so I can monk in Codex for my team every now and then.
Help appreciated.

in codex you have to figure it out yourself for every deck what bar would be worth it most/if a mo is even worth taking.

I know that, but I gotta learn to play the healer role first anyways.

Playing a foul feast/corrupt enchants necro with return will teach you how to play basically every midline or backline position in the game (with the exception of a prot monk). Return forces you to think about your positioning so that you can maximize it's effectiveness. Corrupt enchants forces you to follow around your melee characters and remove shit for them. Avoiding getting faintheartedness interrupted while maintaining it on as many melee characters as possible teaches game awareness. Foul Feast usage teaches you how to quickly and efficiently select party members. Once you can do all of the above while prekiting damage, not getting caught out of your shield set and always casting on the correct weapon sets you can play any other caster bar in the game.
Not saying this is the best or most efficient way to learn what you are trying to do, but it's how I learned how to play guildwars

A bit OT, but i'll gonna try it out. Only used a ele so far in my (short) pvp career, kinda bored. Nec seems a good step to try improve myself maybe.
About the difficult of playing certain bars(the monk one is a good example), i'd like to see what are the ones considered "in the middle".
I mean, there are some "intermedium pvp skilled player" bars, more rewarding for good players than the newbies meta OP spamming stuff but not requiring top gvg'er mad skillz?
